I tried getting fancy in the sky by putting in some dark umber and ended up making a greenish gray!
I followed dracula’s article on the evergreens and followed Kevin Hill’s tip to use shop towels on the mountains. Thanks to these great painters (and Mr Ross) I’ve learned so much in only nine paintings.

awesome sky. Am I the only one seeing Lord of the Rings buildings in the back there? Your evergreens are killer, and the colors and looseness of the foreground are beautiful. Only 9 paintings??
