Merry Christmas everyone!!! 😂😂😂 This Winter scene from Bob is magical and so beautiful!
I designed a big snow flake and 2 little ones, w/the contact paper but I am a little disappointed with the outcome. I love the painting, but not too crazy about how it came out with the contact paper. 🤔 I added some handmade little snowflakes to fill up the blank space.
I will clean up the edges once it’s dry. Lots of bleeding in my negative space. I will also add a black outline in some areas to give more dimension to the whole thing.
I love doing/painting every single second of this project. 🥰

Thx Bob! 😃 I usually do cool things with the contact paper. But not today. I don't like the design. If I do this one again, It will be painted on the whole canvas, no oval, no nothing.

What a festive idea. I am having a hard time deciding my favorite part of this painting, the awesome deep woods background or the incredible foreground path. Saving this pic in my inspiration folder :)

Thx Tom! One could think so! I never expected the turn out of this one. Once I peeled off the contact paper, my husband said that it looks like Christmas paper wrapping gift. I though so too. I guess I was unconsciously in the Christmas mood! 🤷🏻♀️

Now this is a ridiculously cool silhouette. I honestly don't understand what you dislike about the design, it's awesome!
About the bleeding: Not sure if you have tried or someone suggested it yet, but after sticking on the contact paper it helps to seal the inner edge with acrylic paint of the same color as the canvas and let it dry before painting. The acrylic paint might bleed through but wont be visible since it's the same color anyway.
