Making autumn scenes is so wonderful! The colors are vibrantsโ€ฆ life is good! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Not my best compo but it was a real bliss to paint.

โš ๏ธ Update โš ๏ธ

I just played a little with my waterfall contrasts. This morning, I thought we couldnโ€™t really distinguished my mini fall to the big one. So I reworked it a little. I added a little rock into the small one. Those a subtile changes, but they do make a positive difference.

Very pretty!

Many many people would be happy to be able to paint like that, Nancy.. I really like the season and your color choice. Good job ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช

So many exceptional things going on here. The trees. The colors. The bushes. Very beautiful
.

I love it, as all your work. The evergreens are really amazing.

Good one as always Nancy. <3

I really need to practice evergreens like those on the left side.
Looks like Nic's technique. Is it Nic's technique?
I have yet to follow a Nic tutorial, but I do have one on my radar: Northwest Waterfall. Plenty of evergreesn to practice with in that one. :D

Thank you Cold! โ˜€๏ธ

Thank you my friend! ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ˜€ I know what you mean, but when you know you can do better, you gotta admit it! The main thing is that I. The book, everything looks further. I ran out of space by about 0.75โ€ (~1.9 cm). Not much youโ€™ll say but it would have brought more distance. Plus, I painted everything a little bigger than I should. But I can live with it. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you much Tom! I thought of you while doing this one. In the book & video, itโ€™s too well groomed. It was bothering me. I remember how fond you are of making everything more natural looking, โ€œmessierโ€. I decided to go for that look. I have to say that I am finally getting the hang of those evergreens. Glad you noticed them. ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ

Thank you bunches Bob! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Many thx Titia! Yes itโ€™s โ€œNickโ€™sโ€ technique. When I went to Bobโ€™s celebration last October, I remember him explaining it very well. You do your branch and you go back to the center and do 3 taps down before doing a branch on the other side. To do a branch is again 3 taps down but in a diagonal. I finally got his technique after a few paintings.

I did Northwest Waterfall and it is a fantastic one to practice indeed. Try it. I know youโ€™ll make it look crazy good! ๐Ÿ˜€

Super as expected N!

Thank you very much B! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Very nice painting. Love all the small details and variations.

So gorgeous with wonderful colors!

Thank you for explaining the evergreen technique! I echo all comments above; but my favorite tree is the very scraggly spruce on the left between the two sentinels. Marvelous.

So colorful! I also love the trees as well. Iโ€™m going to start practicing the way you explained!!

Well done!

Thank you Ted! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Many thx Sandy! ๐Ÿ˜€

Anytime H! Iโ˜€๏ธ t's my fav evergreen too! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you Lc! It's really not that hard... just a little practice. I know you'll get it too!

Thank you Jin! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Lots of crowded foliage in this composition, and you pull it off wonderfully Nancy.

Thank you Tony! ๐Ÿ˜Š
