Mountain Cabin

Mountain Cabin - s7e4

This is an interesting Bob painting. I chose to paint mine using Bob's TV version for reference. In the book version, there is no green on the mountain base, it is all white with just a bit of trees showing through. After finishing the painting, I have decided that I have too much green on the mountain base. Not much I can do about it now :) I have not painted a mountain in several paintings and I felt it as I painted LOL. Definitely out of practice. And of course, as usual, my midground foliage is more crowded and more colorful than Bob's. I always start out saying I won't do that, and I always end up do just what I said I would not do. I swear, I am going to create a painting with just 1 bush in it to see if I can even do that without overcrowding LOLOL. I painted this over 5 days with maybe 8-ish hours of actual brush time. I prefer spreading the painting out over a span of days.

18" x 24" canvas. As always, your comments (especially suggestions) are desired and welcome.
