Bubbling Stream

Took a looser, quicker approach on this one. There are passages I like that are a direct result of that approach, but I think my usual 2-3 hour timeframe gives me more time to consider what I am doing.

Super nice rendition! Give the impression of many hours spent to get the subtle highlights in the trees, bushes, and rocks.

Beautiful job

Always something good coming out of your brush work. This one is really good.

Great job, looks amazing.

Loving the loose look of this one.
Colours are great as well.

Do you use the knife for rocks or do you use brushes?
It looks like brushes to me, but I'm not sure.
Just wondering...

Beautiful painting, well done, cheers

props on giving this one an original spin. I like the loose and free vibe.

Thank you all, I appreciate your kind words on this looser experiment!

@TitiaD - I used a mix of knife and brush on the rocks. Basically, I cut them into place with the knife and also used the knife for initial highlights. Then, I used the brush to tie some of the shapes together in the upper highlights to make more contiguous, water-smoothed rock textures. Does that answer your question? I am happy to go into more detail!
