My very bad version of 'Portrait of Sally' , I tried to follow what was happening and picked many wrong colours. Nevertheless it’s give I am going to church style. I painted in acrylic paints red, yellow, white, blue and black to create the colors used.

It’s not easy to do rtparsjr, I watched him 100 times and style didn’t get it but I kept trying. Sally’s lip is to big and I don’t have enough red to do her lips, so I put purple. I will try again to see if get different results.
Never say never, but I doubt that I will attempt it any time soon. Right out of my comfort zone. You did well to have a go, and you gave her eyes expression. She looks like she just caught somebody doing something silly and she's about to burst out laughing. Well done.
Our brains are made to recognize faces, so they're also made recognize every tiny thing that might look off in a face. This is what makes drawing and painting portraits so much more difficult than landscapes or still lifes.
I think you are brave!! This is one of those episodes that I just stay away from! You did better than I certainly would! I can guarantee of that!! Kudos for the bravery!
