Florida's Glory

joha59 08 May 2025

Probably most of the work for this fun painting was cutting out the shape, putting it on the canvas and getting it off again after painting! I skipped the palmtree for two reasons: the shape for my country was much wider then for Florida in Bob's painting and if I painted a palmtree as seen here, these are looking brown and hanging down; most of the summers are not warm enough, but I hope I could give with this interpretation some glory to the Netherlands, on canvasboard of 24 x 30 cm.

Very well done Jos, cutting out all those bits must have taken some effort. I didn't realise you are in Dutchland, never mind the palm tree, you could have painted some weed🀣

Nice cut out of our little country.
This could very well be a sunset seen from the dunes along the coast.
