Hi, I am new to this forum and new to oil painting, but have always wanted to try oils. I previously worked with acrylics, and got used to the fast dry time, so oils have been a whole new adjustment for me. My first attempt at a Bob Ross painting had me pretty discouraged, but I have since continued to work on that painting - the painting that is never finished LOL. It has been good practice. This painting left me much more encouraged, and I even loved it in it’s black and white stage, and I can see myself painting variations of this one, over and over again. So many talented artists here, I hope to learn a lot from everyone!
Thanks so much, TheLandscapePainter!
The light play is lovely
Thank you, RebeccaJ!
it's GREAT! you've inspired me to try to put the light in my lightning strike painting. I love the way the light rays are playing peek-a-boo, it makes for a perfect walk through the woods.
Thank you VAM! I can’t wait to see what you do!
