First time to paint in 18 months!!! What a whirlwind life is right now. Somehow carved out time to paint this with my 7 year old son, whose creation is shown below. Nice simple composition that we both somehow finished in record time just under three hours and had fun the whole way. I’m so proud of his ability to stick with it and keep a positive attitude that whole time.
Bushes make me crazy, but I feel like I may have learned something with these. First time painting “up” evergreens. Enjoyed painting the cabin with my way too crooked icicles. Appreciated the limited color palette and simplicity. Used linseed oil for the first time when needed to thin and it is WAY easier to use than paint thinner.
We finished a painting! Hooray!
