First attempt at painting with Bob. The art supplies shop assistant told us that Bob Ross painted with oils, but we went for acrylics for less messiness. Unfortunately it meant that the paint got dry very fast. Also as a bonus joke, we unknowingly purchased 3 oil colours, so the cleanup turned into a real mess after all. Had so much fun nevertheless, and looking forward to painting more!
That's really good for a first attempt. I've never tried it in acrylics and that's all that counts is that you had fun.
good job

Wow, no way this was your first attempt and on top of that with acrylic paints! I can only imagine the struggle - believe it or not I have been there myself. But you've managed incredibly well! I love the highlights and shadings on the water and especially the left side of the painting is really successful! Great feathering application for the leaves in the tree. The softness of them in contrast with the sharp edges of the mountains works so well. Keep up the great work and looking forward to see you exploring the wonderful and messy world of oil paints... maybe with me?
