First Snow

Sunnylady 01 Nov 2020

This is not very popular on the website, but I loved making this ridge wall. I did not proportion it right and entire landscape looks like from space. I enjoyed painting it.
Gouache on water color paper. 20cm by 28cm.

Sunny..Your paintings always put a smile on my face..Water,mountains and those content little trees..ahhh,that's livin baby!..He he.Cheers,Pietro

@Voy: thanks, I did not want to go with full power of yellows here. I think that overall they cannot be highlighted with a lot of yellow, unless this is that ripe that changes its needle leaves every year and becomes naked every fall.
Here the brush was still quite new and held shape better than today. Even synthetic brushes do not like much of water and scrubbing.

@Pietro1963. I am glad Pietro, this series looks very cartoonish doesn’t it? I was thinking if I manage to finish sketch pad I will give it to my little niece to create her own fairy tales while looking at it.

The trees are fantastic!

I love it you did great it’s 1 of my favourite

Thanks Paintcrazy19!
