Summer in the Mountain

Sunnylady 01 Nov 2020

Quite an interesting painting! I almost missed my lunch, this how involved I was with this painting.
This is small one. Gouache on paper 20 by 28cm.

LOVE those painted evergreens, a whole new style and so delicate highlighted!

Those are synthetic brushes and they are quite soft and since this is water based there are some different behaviors that I am not quite familiar yet. Surprisingly water colors scare hell out me, but gouache does not. I guess this is because I can do thick brush stroke and not to be afraid to ruin this fun project.

I do the evergreens with flat brush by the way. I have 2 flats and one liner. I will have 2 more weeks without oils.

This one and a few others are a different style of painting from you
I really like them a lot. The colours of the mountains are great.
(And now i have to go again. Been commenting on your profile for ..an hour😳time to make dinner here...lol. Sorry if it is a pain ...having too many messages)
