I did mine using the whole canvas, so
I added a couple of trees in the foreground. I really had a hard time trying to get the water right.

I second the unique style comment. This is a very nice painting. Looks like you used a fan brush for the evergreen foliage?
I followed Bob and used the 1” oval brush, which sort of works like a big, thick fan brush. I kind of liked how it worked, so I’ve used it on a number of other paintings since then.
This is really beautiful. The trees are fantastic. The height and depth of the whole painting are really well done.
