Blue River

Voy Kay 20 Jan 2021

No use of any liquids by Bob except for the sky. That explained why I had huge trouble getting the water right. Next time I will use some liquid clear there!

Canvas used was a recycled HQ 12"x16".

This could be the precursor of Rivers peace S23E6. They ressemble somewhat.

Absolutely love that distance you created with little hint of haziness and the distant tree color! Shape of the trees in the distance looks awesome! I like you did not use yellow highlights on them, allowing them to be far away and bluish in the color.

A truly poetic comment Sunylady! Thank you so much!!

Trunks on the birches are so nice and gentle. Overall feel here is so calm and fresh. I guess this is impact of Prussian blue?

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

Probably yes, and not to forget the black gesso!

Yes indeed Hado, Bob rarely used white trees in sunny sceneries. So far I only know if this episode and also 'Rivers peace' (S23E6).

Thanks for motivating me my friend!!

There is so much I love about this one Voy! The gentle sky, the distant evergreens, the strong blue in the water, the little red bushes in the foreground, the white tree trunks!
