That Time of Year

LCLeonard 24 Jan 2021

First non-mountain painting, seventh painting overall. Loved doing a sunset. I tried doing the Kevin Hill method with shop towels and drying the sky before painting in front of it, but think I did it wrong because it was still a challenge and looked blotchy. Struggled also using just the knife on the birch, so tried a filbert instead. Not easy either way :) reflection off as well, but who cares

Love the colors of the sky, that big fluffy cloud and the birch trees.
