Fun one to paint. The gesso background was challenging since I used a canvas that was already black. I figured out to use a moist towel and apply it on the area I was working to make the gesso slide better. I learn lots during that phase.
You know me, I put some add ons… Spanish moss, another tree on the upper left side and a big rock next to it and different bushes than Bob.

Excellent Nancy! One thing is distracting to me in this painting though. At the top of the stream where the water starts maybe a couple of bushes behind your tree ? Or maybe extend the stream? Just a thought.
