Mountain Summit

Retired_and_Painting 05 Apr 2024

My rendition of Mountain Summit. I kinda like more of a snow effect on the mountain, and more color in the bushes to the lower right. Wasn't sure of putting a path there as in the original, and getting it correct. My wife claims she doesn't like the big pine tree on a slant, but I believe the original is (or I saw a painting of it slanted). After all it is growing on a slope going into the water. I convinced myself I like it that way! I finished it and let it set for a couple days. Went back and fixed/added stuff here and there. That's actually the part I like the best - going back and fussing with it a bit more. Enjoy...

4/23/24 Update. Wasn't sure about the top of the big fir tree. Looked slanted too much to the left. Scraped it off and have it more in line with the rest of the tree and added a small cloud around it.
