This is my second go at the wet-on-wet style. I was pleasantly surprised with how forgiving the mountains were. I couldn't get the paint to break all that well, but some fiddling with the knife seemed to produce something I could be happy with.
my main issue was in a real challenge in the trees. My fan brush doesn't seem to produce the same kind of effect that bob gets, but granted, I'm using a cheap michaels option. I think I can blame the brush for how the background tree line looks, but the foreground trees are all me. I think I just wasn't focused. I slapped a bunch of paint down and then realized that I had some goofy looking trees. I'll focus on this next time.
The foreground is a hot muddy mess. Just couldn't get the paint to come off the brush. I'm wondering if I can go over it again once it dries and redo the highlights.
Gorgeous!
