So, uploading this one again, because I think I found the episode it is based on.
Here's what I wrote when I uploaded it as extra picture with "Meadow Lake":
"No idea which episode of The Joy of Painting this is. Does anyone know?
Our instructor called it Grey Mountain, but he did not know the episode anymore either. He sort of pulled this one out of his sleeve and hadn't planned on doing it.
50x40cm
The larger evergreens on the right and parts of the foreground grassy banks were done with the paint knife."
What do you reckon, is this the one?
Grey mountains, some foothills, evergreens done with the knife. Fits the bill I'd say.
Love the trees and the more patchy / textured greens (not to mention the mountains). Super nice technique and painting!
