So, this one concludes my queste for the last challenge, namely to paint at least one creation form each of the 31 seasons. This wasn't always easy, sometimes I had to paint something I wasn't ready for or wild about, but the never ending process of learning does have its beauty, its charm and its use.
Canvas used was a 12"x16", prepared with liquid clear. Sky was really the easiest while the rest was little to quite difficult. Never got the colour of the mountain right and when applied to the rocks, that became a little too much mud. The bushes and leaves went okay since I still have hamperings in painting those. Hope you will enjoy!
Woohoo! Never thought I would be the first! In fact, this is a VERY INTERESTING challenge that I believe more fantastic community members and fellow painters should strive for. It is quite interesting to study and choose the one episode suitable for you in each season. Good luck to everyone and please, enjoy ALL of your endeavours 'Bob Ross style'!!
Congratulations Voy! That's a big achievement with impressive journey! Remember yourself when you posted your first painting and deciding to complete all the challenges and now... how much knowledge you have obtained and how more comfortable you are now with oil painting! Now you understand what kind of landscapes is most favorite. Which one by the way? What is your favorite season where you would paint almost every painting?
You did great job and I hope you will continue painting without challenges. Or Felix will need to invent few more.
Thank you so very much Sunnylady! Since my very first oil painting, on Friday December the 6th 2019, I have travelled a long way through wet-on-wet land. I learned so much and have learned and nailed quite a few things along the way. I still have my hamperings (struggling with bushes and leaves still) yet dare to say that few challenges scare me still. Speaking of challenges, Felix is looking into it to introduce several new ones, looking forward to that.
My favourite season would be winter and that mainly because I like evergreens so much (also birches of course!) and because I fancy a more empty landscape, so less completely filled with bushes, grass and trees with leaves.
I need to say that painting season has almost come to an end for me since other duties in and specially around the house will require my full attention the next months. I will be less prominent present here in the community and only sparsely painting. No worries, from time to time, you will hear or see from me, that's a promise!
