Mountain Ridge Lake

dracula 02 Feb 2020

For convenience, I ended up using a cheap canvas today and I must say, it did cause me some issues in terms of stretcher bar ghosting and poor adhesion. I suppose it wasn't particularly convenient after all. Also, In my last couple of paintings I've been using Naples Yellow to give some lightness and opacity when doing highlights; I think it's been helpful.

I have a feeling this valley and lake are hidden high in the mountains. I don't know what exactly gives this effect for me. Good one as usual!

Wow, nicely done, Dracula!
Really love the neatness of the details. As Sunnylady, it really feels high, with this slightly nebulous dark blue sky. A really enjoyable atmosphere!
